Quick update on where SPEEM stands right now.
Version 2.5 just shipped. This is the biggest update since launch. The headline change is a unified Calcifer color system: each tier you reach (from Ember up to Solar) now has matching color variants in the shop, so your earned progress and your purchased customization actually work together instead of fighting each other. Long-term users who reach Solar tier also get new visual layers that build over months.
A small fix is on the way as 2.5.1. I shipped 2.5 quickly and a few users hit a paywall right after onboarding when they shouldn’t have. The fix is in Apple’s review queue right now and should land in the next day or two. If you saw a paywall when you weren’t expecting one, your Pro status is fine. The screen just took a moment to catch up. Updating to 2.5.1 will fix it automatically.
Free Pro for everyone until May 5. I’ve extended the early-user giveaway. Anyone who installs SPEEM by May 1st gets all the Pro features for life. No card, no trial, no asterisk. After that the free tier still works (3 habits, 1 AI exam prep mission per month) and Pro becomes a one-time $19.99 purchase.
Why I’m doing this. I’d rather have a lot of students using SPEEM and telling me what’s broken than a small number of paying users. The bug we just hit is the perfect example: I needed real students hitting it before I could see the issue. Extending the free window gives more of you the chance to try it without thinking about money, and gives me more eyes on the app while it’s still finding its shape.
What I’d love from you. If you try it, tell me what works and what doesn’t. Bugs in Bug reports, ideas in Feature ideas, anything else here in General. Even one-line posts help.
Thanks for being early.
